Sharp Corporation recently announced the completion of acquiring all shares of Synapse Innovation Inc., which has officially become its wholly-owned subsidiary. This acquisition aims to strengthen Sharp’s ERP service capabilities and accelerate the R&D and implementation of its AI and digital transformation-driven services.
After the acquisition, Sharp plans to integrate Synapse Innovation’s ERP services with its existing office equipment (e.g., multi-functional copiers) to upgrade office solutions. This integration will enable unified data management for enterprises’ back-end processes (procurement, order processing, financial accounting, inventory management), and Sharp will provide full-lifecycle services to help enterprises improve operational efficiency.
For business expansion, Sharp will integrate both parties’ product portfolios, customer resources and sales channels, and leverage its global network to promote Synapse Innovation’s ERP business internationally.
In addition, Sharp will combine cutting-edge technologies (physical AI, quantum annealing) with the acquired ERP capabilities to develop solutions for social challenges like labor shortages and energy efficiency improvement, expanding its digital service layout.
